Cosmetic Fillers

Treatment Explained

Restylane® is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce discomfort. However some clients may find that there is still some discomfort during the appointment. Local anaesthesia is available on request.

Immediately after the treatment, there may be slight flow-text redness, mild bruising and tenderness around the treated area. The mild swelling and puffiness usually resolves in a few days and normal activities may be resumed following treatment.

Following lip enhancement injections the initial swelling may last longer than other treatments. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips may look slight flow-textly uneven during this time. This will resolve in a few days.

Each individual and treatment area responds differently. The aesthetic effect on average lasts for 6-12 months. A comprehensive and informative consultation will be carried out prior to treatment.

Cosmetic Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are classed as medical devices, also known as soft tissue fillers. They consist of a gel formulation which can be injected into the skin or just beneath it to restore lost volume and effectively smooth out lines and wrinkles. The product range we use is Restylane®.

They are very different to wrinkle relaxing injections. Dermal fillers, such as Restylane® are most frequently used to ‘fill’ facial lines, wrinkles and folds or add volume deep into the skin to enhance features such as the lips. Both dermal fillers and wrinkle smoothing injections can be combined in a single treatment
